As part of the AguaClara program from Cornell University, I spent 15 months working as a Design Engineer in rural communities of Honduras. While there, I designed and implemented four AguaClara water treatment plants that are low-cost, gravity powered, and entirely locally sourced. On these projects, I worked as the lead implementation engineer responsible for coding plant design, hydraulic component fabrication, and local operator training.
There are now 15 AguaClara water treatment plants throughout Honduras, Nicaragua, and India treating 24/7 water for over 60,000 people!
